What is on Your Wishlist? from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Wishlist:


1. A place to just stitch for a time.
2. Learn a new stitching skill.
3. Relax with no chores to do.
4. Spend time with old friends.

6. Have someone else cook my meals.

A Prairie Posting from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Last week, Teri and I (Kara) experienced Baltimore on the Prairie for the first time, and we were hooked. From the moment we walked in the door of Lied Lodge, we knew that it was going to be a great week.

This is the view that greeted us!

We taught two classes, Alsatian Urn and Village Wanderings–Shops. Both classes were filled with the best students, and we had a wonderful time full of stitching and laughter—what more could you ask for?! Here are a few pics from our fun-filled week.

Village Wanderings—Homes from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

Last year, Kara and I (Teri) had designed these four little homes with the plan to teach them at our local wool shop, Primitive Homespuns Wool and Needleworks. Initially, they were to be finished as individual little projects to fit in a frame, which could be switched out with the seasons. Then life happened and a pandemic hit. No classes.

Academy of Appliqué 2021: Home Construction from Telling Stories Through the Needle's Eye

It has been a crazy year since last year's visit to Williamsburg, Virginia, for the Academy of Appliqué. In fact, for me (Teri), I can admit that the Academy perfectly sandwiched this odd pandemic year: it was the last and the first place that I had traveled and taught. I quickly realized how much I had missed stitching in-person with friends when class began on the first day this past week.
